About Lake Alfred Historical Society
The Lake Alfred Historical Society was established in September 1994 by a group of passionate individuals dedicated to preserving and celebrating the rich history of Lake Alfred. Their collective efforts soon bore fruit, and just a few weeks later, the Historical Museum opened its doors to the public in the former Bank of Lake Alfred building. Since then, the Society has been a cornerstone of the community, offering a glimpse into the past through its exhibits, educational programs, and community events. Our mission is to provide and protect Lake Alfred’s history and heritage for present and future generations. The museum continues to serve as a vital resource for historical preservation and education, celebrating the heritage and stories that make Lake Alfred unique.
