The Lake Alfred Historical Society was established in September 1994 by a group of passionate individuals dedicated to preserving and celebrating the rich history of Lake Alfred. Their collective efforts soon bore fruit, and just a few weeks later, the Historical Museum opened its doors to the public in the former Bank of Lake Alfred building. Since then, the Society has been a cornerstone of the community, offering a glimpse into the past through its exhibits, educational programs, and community events.
